Aufbruchstimmung / Preparations to leave

Noch knapp 4 Wochen bis zur Ausreise

…und dann sind wir zurück in Sambia, gemäss Plan. Etwas unklar ist noch die Visumsbearbeitung, da der Visumsantrag bereits zwei Mal zur Überarbeitung zurückkam. Wahrscheinlich weil unsere Fähigkeitszeugnisse noch auf Deutsch waren, was zuerst hiess es sei kein Problem. Natürlich haben wir diese schnellstens übersetzt und der Antrag wurde für uns einmal mehr von OM Sambia eingereicht. Eine gute Neuigkeit ist unsere geklärte Wohnsituation. Seit kurzem liegt die Bestätigung vor, dass wir ein Haus auf der Hauptbasis der Organisation am Stadtrand von Kabwe mieten können, was uns sehr freut.

Und zum aktuellen Geschehen

Die Koffer stehen in der Wohnung bereit und werden langsam mit Küchenutensilien, Babykleidern und Sonstigem gefüllt. Der Haushalt wird einmal mehr aufgelöst und die angeschafften Möbelstücke suchen wieder neue Besitzer. Sehr dankbar sind wir um die Unterstützung von Familien und Freunden, welche uns einiges ausgeliehen haben. Für all diese Gegenstände ist die Besitzerfrage schon geklärt. 😉

Es kommt noch mehr dazu.

Wir schauen der Ausreise mit gemischten Gefühlen entgegen. Auf der einen Seite freuen wir uns, dass unser Dienst weiter geht, aber es fällt uns definitiv schwer mit Elena alles zu verlassen, Familie, Freunde, gewohnte Sicherheit usw. In dem hilft es uns immer wieder, nahe an Gottes Herz zu sein und zu wissen, dass er gute Pläne für uns hat.

Just under 4 weeks until we leave the country

...and then we are back in Zambia, according to plan. A little unclear is still the visa processing because the visa application already came back twice for revision. Probably because our certificates were still in German, which at first was said to be no problem. Of course, we translated them as soon as possible and the application was submitted for us once again by OM Zambia. The good news is our clarified housing situation. We recently received confirmation that we can rent a house at the organization's main base on the outskirts of Kabwe, which makes us very happy.

And to the current happenings

The suitcases are ready in the apartment and are slowly being filled with kitchen utensils, baby clothes, and other things. Once again, the household is being liquidated and the purchased furniture is looking for new owners. We are very grateful for the support of families and friends who have lent us some things. For all these items the question of ownership has already been settled 😉.

There is more to come.

We are looking forward to the departure with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we are happy that our service continues, but it is definitely hard for us to leave everything with Elena, family, friends, familiar security, etc. In that, it always helps us to be close to God's heart and to know that He has good plans for us.
