In weniger als einer Woche sollte unsere Reise nach Sambia losgehen, jedoch warten wir noch immer auf das ausstehende Arbeitsvisum. Für uns wäre es schon möglich in das Land einzureisen, jedoch bräuchten wir dann ein 3 monatiges Touristenvisum, dürften nicht arbeiten und der Prozess mit dem Arbeitsvisum würde gestoppt werden. Somit ist dies keine Option.
In der Schweiz sind wir per Ende August abgemeldet, haben die Wohnung aufgelöst und sind auch nicht mehr mobil mit Auto oder Halbtax. Umso wichtiger ist für uns eine zeitnahe Entscheidung von der sambischen Einwanderungsbehörde, ob wir einreisen können oder nicht. Wenn weiterhin keine Entscheidung getroffen wird, müssen wir die Flüge verschieben und uns zwischenzeitlich auf ein anderes Auslandprojekt einlassen. Es bleibt einmal mehr spannender als uns lieb ist.
Time is running out, still no visa
In less than a week our trip to Zambia should start, but we are still waiting for the outstanding work visa. For us it would already be possible to enter the country, but then we would need a 3 month tourist visa, are not allowed to work and the process with the work visa would be stopped. So this is not an option.
In Switzerland, we are deregistered at the end of August, have dissolved the apartment and are also no longer mobile with car or half-tax. All the more important for us is a timely decision from the Zambian immigration authorities, whether we can enter or not. If still no decision is made, we will have to postpone our flights and in the meantime get involved in another foreign project. Once again, it remains more exciting than we would like.
